Wireless Pioneers Join the FieldLogix Strategic Advisory Board
San Diego, CA December 5, 2012 – FieldLogix, provider of an award-winning Green GPS vehicle and asset management solution for North American businesses, announced today the formation of the FieldLogix Advisory Board, a panel of 5 wireless industry thought leaders who have been assembled to provide strategic guidance on the company’s corporate vision, partnering strategy and technology innovations.1 Steve Morley – Mr. Morley served as the Vice President of Technology for QUALCOMM Incorporated and was instrumental in the development of QUALCOMM’s strategic direction in a number of new wireless technologies including digital cellular communications, next generation wireless local area networking, ultra-wideband radio technologies, and location-based services. More recently, Mr. Morley has been an executive adviser to a number of high technology companies in the development of their strategic business and product development programs.
2 Prashant Kantak – Mr. Kantak is an early-stage venture advisor and investor. He started and led Qualcomm’s strategic venture capital fund, Qualcomm Ventures, worldwide and built operations in North America, Europe and Asia including Korea, Japan, and China starting in 1999. He was also responsible for various corporate development efforts including technology and business strategy, strategic alliances, partnerships and mergers and acquisitions. Prashant has over 20 years of business and technical experience in the field of telecommunications. He was with Qualcomm since early 1990 and held various technical and business management positions within Qualcomm. He participated in the early definition and development of CDMA standards and systems and thereafter developed key ASICs and DSP architectures on the infrastructure and mobile side that form the core platform for Qualcomm’s commercial ASICs.
3 Brad Weinert – Mr. Weinert served as Chief Operating Officer of Awarepoint Corporation since April 2010. Mr. Weinert served as the President of Novatel Wireless Inc. from August 2, 2007 to December 8, 2008 and its Acting Chief Executive Officer from November 2006 to August 2007. He served as President of Awarepoint Corporation since April 2010. Mr. Weinert served as the Chief Operating Officer of Novatel Wireless from April 2006 to August 2007.
4 Julie Cunningham – Ms. Cunningham is currently Vice President, investor relations and corporate communications at Mitek Mobile. Ms. Cunningham brings two decades of investor and public relations experience to FieldLogix. Her focus is on creating and executing strategic corporate and financial communications plans; building and reinforcing brand equity; raising awareness and visibility; and managing corporate reputations. Previously, Ms. Cunningham led corporate communications and served as primary company spokesperson for M/A-COM Linkabit, HNC Software, Qualcomm and Novatel Wireless. Her broad background includes enterprise software, mobile apps, semiconductors and wireless technologies with deep experience in intellectual property and IPOs.
5 Steve Settelmayer – Mr. Settelmayer is the VP of Sales and Marketing at Neff Rental. Prior to that he spent twelve years as VP of Sales and Marketing at Teletrac, a pioneer in vehicle location systems, where he was instrumental in implementing a successful sales and marketing automation program which was a key to Teletracs market leader position. Before that he was in sales management in the office equipment industry. Steve has a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Marketing from San Francisco State University.
