CarLock utilizes GPS technology to improve car security. The device plugs into the car diagnostic port and is used in conjunction with a smartphone app. If the vehicle moves outside of the designated area, the engine starts, the device is disconnected, or if the GPS signal is lost due to jamming, the app will immediately sound a loud alert.
The app is also designed to work even when it’s not running giving the vehicle round-the-clock, continuous protection. The device has a built-in GPS and cellular antenna meaning the phone’s battery life isn’t affected.
A monthly subscription is required and the GPS-equipped device is currently only available in the UK.
