Moving Fleet Getting GPS Tracking for Vans

England Van Lines, a company providing cross country moving and nationwide storage services, is equipping its entire fleet of moving vans with GPS tracking systems.

The company hopes the GPS tracking will provide better logistics for the company, but for the customer as well. Once all the vehicles in the fleet are equipped with the new system, the company will be able to provide accurate updates on the location of the customer’s items as well as a better estimated delivery date.

Curious customers will be able to receive real-time updates, something the company hopes will help reduce the stress associated with such a large move.  Company spokesperson, William Alexander, says of the new system, “The goal of this new GPS tracking feature will be dual purpose: To enable us to better enhance our internal logistics; and to allow us to better serve our customers with timely reports on their relocation logistics.”
