Man and Pooch Use GPS Tracker on 2,000 Mile Walk

dog gps trackerLuke Robinson and Indiana, his Great Pyrenees, are walking 2,000 miles from Canada south to the Mexican border to raise funds and bring awareness to an area of cancer research called comparative oncology.

Robinson founded the Puppy Up Foundation whose mission is to discover “the common links between canine and human cancers and the causes of these cancers through comparative oncology research.” Researchers are hoping that studying cancer in dogs (as well as other animals) will help them  discover some of the “hows” and “whys” sooner, and those discoveries might apply to treating human cancer patients.

Anyone is welcome to join Robinson and his pooch on his long walk down to San Diego.  For those that can’t make it out, Robinson is using a Tagg GPS Pet Tracker to monitor their progress down the coast.
