Churches Track Baby Jesus with GPS Device

baby jesus gpsEvery holiday season baby Jesus goes missing from nativity scenes all over the country.  This year, Brickhouse Security is giving churches small GPS devices to attach to their figurines.  The devices are monitored online and a text or email alert is sent when the figurine is in motion.

For Reverend George Smith from St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Illinois, the free GPS tracking device came just in time: “Two of the Wise Men disappeared and ended up at Four Lakes Ski Resort,” he told NBC.

Editorial Director for Brickhouse, Marc Horowitz, said, “Frankly, we designed this program to do something helpful… and the theft and vandalism of holiday stuff happens more than you might realize. It happens in community after community all over the country.”

This is Brickhouse Security’s eighth year offering the program.
