150 Natural Gas Vehicles Added to Abu Dhabi Municipality Fleet

Abu Dhabi has added 150 vehicles to its municipality fleet that are powered by compressed natural gas in an effort to conserve the environment through clean energy use.

Othman Mohammed Sharif Fulathi, Director of Facilities and Security, said, “This initiative was rolled out to conserve the environment and achieve sustainable development as this project contributes to minimizing the carbon footprint and raising environmental awareness of the community.”

Other vehicles in the fleet are outfitted with GPS tracking systems in an effort to reduce consumption and optimize use. All 150 of the new CNG vehicles will be up and running by May 18.
