The concept of Field Technologies evolved from a business plan written in San Diego State University's top ranked MBA program in 2001. The founders discovered that our types of products were actually at the early stages of something incredibly big. This is due to the many ways in which they can improve a company's operations and provide a very high return on investment. Many market analysts actually compared the state of our industry to the personal computer and cellular phone industries in their early days. After extensive research into our market and competition, it was determined that we could offer a far superior product at a much more affordable price. The founders participated in national business plan competitions and received valuable input from founders of companies such as Ticketmaster, CompUSA, and Flextronics.

We spent the first few years of our existence as a top performing reseller of some of the leading GPS fleet tracking products. During this time, we determined that most systems were very difficult to learn, used unreliable proprietary GPS equipment, and were not proactive enough in notifying users when drivers violate company policies. We also learned what others were doing well and improved upon it. We took what we learned from these companies and created FieldLogix, one of the most user-friendly, reliable and notification rich GPS tracking solutions in the market.

Now Field Technologies is one of the leading GPS fleet tracking providers in the country. We have devices installed in thousands of vehicles throughout the US and internationally. We also built a solid relationship with one of the largest and most reputable financial institutions in America.
